NOW® Organic Coconut Oil is from the Fiji Islands, is a high grade, unrefined premium nutritional edible oil obtained from the first cold pressing of organic coconut (Cocos nucifera) kernels. Virgin organic coconut oil is naturally trans-fatty acid free and high in medium chain triglycerides (MCT).
Most commercial grade coconut oils are made from copra. Copra is basically the dried kernel (meat) of the coconut.
